1. What programs do you use?

I use a combination of many programs. For illustrations I mostly stick to Adobe PhotoShop and Illustrator. 3-d illustrations are generally generated using Strata 3D Pro, however I have recently begun to use Wings 3d for some of my modeling needs. For design I will use any of the above programs for whatever imaging there needs to be. For actual layout I started out using PageMaker, but have since moved on to Adobe's far superior InDesign.

2. Do you do freelance projects or commission illustrations?

I have been known to take up freelance projects from time to time depending on my workload from my regular job. I also have done a few commissions for different people. I take every job on a case by case basis depending on the parameters of the project. If you would like more information please email me at ed@priddy.org and we will work out an agreement that benefits us both.

3. What sort of educational background do you have?

I graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design.

4. Why design, illustration, 3d?

When I was younger all I wanted to do was draw. I knew that I wanted to go to college to become an illustrator. When I came to UCO I found that they didn't have an illustration degree, but that graphic design included some illustration classes. I decided that this would suit my needs just fine, and make me a more well rounded commercial artist. In my last year or two there I delved head first into using a computer to do design and illustration and fell head over heels in love with it. I have been using a computer to do most of my illustrations since, all but abandoning the typical hand drawn methods. I first tried 3-d illustration as my second to last semester in college. I found this to truly be where my passions lie. I would spend countless hours in the computer labs working on the tiniest detail that wouldn't even show up in the image. I have been working in 3-d ever since.
